That's weird...FIVE FARMERS/FIVE CHEFS Langton – Local Norfolk County foods are once again being showcased at another culinary event on Friday, April 29th at Florence Estate Winery from 5pm-7pm. Chef Tracy Winkworth of The Belworth House brings together 5 farmers and 5 chefs under one roof for a socializing and sampling event. Joining Tracy are many local favorites – The Causeway Restaurant, The Blue Elephant, Jensen Cheese, Kernal Peanuts, an assortment of local wineries and many more restaurants and farms with an abundance of great, local delicacies. Chef Winkworth successfully hosted a similar event last winter which sold out – “the food was absolutely fantastic – I’m so excited to be going to this one for a whole new season of creations”, says guest Linda D’Hondt-Crandon. There are a limited number of tickets available at $25 each and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available at Cashmere & Cobwebs in Port Rowan or by phoning 519-586-8577 or emailing cashmere@amtelecom.net. Credit cards, debit and cash accepted. This Five At Five Event is part of the 2nd Spring edition of Festival by the Bay in Port Rowan & Long Point on Lake Erie. Festival by the Bay is a 3-day shopping event (April 29th-May 1st) created by the Long Point Country Chamber to kick start the very busy tourist season in this resort-type area and create traffic for local shops during the shoulder seasons.
